Brief Overview of Role:The Director of Admissions, Marketing & Community Experience oversees all aspects of A,M and CX in the High School to attract, convert and retain families who embrace our core values in our community. Leading a team of in-house professionals, they are accountable for marketing (brand awareness, brand affinity, local lead-generation), the delivery of the High School’s enrolment targets and a smooth community experience through communication and community events. The Director of AMX is also part of the China AMX team that builds the Dulwich brand across China and provides functional support to the school.The Director of AMX sits on the School Leadership Team (SLT) and shares responsibility for all aspects of the School each SLT member has a focus of responsibility, and all contribute to the whole and support the work of others.Qualifications and Skills:The ideal candidate will have:1.Minimum 8 years experience in School Admissions, Marketing or Community Experience2.Native Chinese speaker with good working English3.Proven experience developing an admissions/marketing plan/strategy4.Proven experience leading, inspiring and building a high performing team of admissions/marketing experts5.Demonstrable experience of leading marketing campaigns and building brand awareness based on a strong set of values.6.Experience in leading a team of digital multi-media content creators 7.Strong use of data/market research to drive decision making8.Excellent communicator able to work across multi-cultures, colleagues of all levels and our critical stakeholders, the parents.9.Experience overseeing events and calendars10.Project management skills with strong attention to detail.11.Excellent time management and organisational skills.12.Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.13.Willingness to be flexible and accommodating to the demands of a busy International School. This details the professional and particular duties required of employees, together with benefits provided by the College.The duties of Director of AMX at Dulwich International High School Suzhou are as follows:Leadership 1.Act as the AMX expert in the SLT, representing the community voice, brand reputation and enrolment numbers for the school.2.Inspire and lead a team of AMX professionals, providing coaching, guidance and functional direction.3.Guided by the Group strategies, localise and develop the AMX strategy for DHSZ , setting the vision and mission for the team4.Create a strong collaborative AMX culture that is fully integrated into the DHSZ community including staff, parents, students and alumni5.Sit on the China regional AMX team, collaborating, contributing and delivering the national strategic plan and brand 6.Manage AMX calendar and budget7.Stay abreast of trends and developments in admissions, marketing and CX, with a particular focus on digital/AIAdmissions 1.Accountable for the enrolment numbers for the School2.Maintain accurate enrolment data, tracking projections forecasts, pipeline and leavers3.Using research, data and competitive intelligence, maintain in depth market knowledge and industry changes in the area and region to ensure agile responses. 4.Mastery levels of customer service building the admissions experience based on a parent insight and trends, needs and pain points. 5.Be the school’s ambassador externally, building enrolment partnerships and outreach to generate a lead generation pipeline, eg: attending education education fairs with academic teams 6.Oversee the admissions experience from enquiry to Open Days, Assessment Days, School tours and on-boarding7.Work with academic staff and student ambassadors to deliver memorable admissions experiences8.Follow up and convert families that share our values to build the school community.9.Administer all relevant data including use of Open Apply. Marketing 1.Lead the school marketing to build the DHSZ brand in Suzhou and neighbouring regions2.Develop and execute a school marketing campaign driving target audience awareness and affinity.3.Working with the China AMX team, identify and prioritise across a range of offline, online and experiential marketing activities for the local market and support the national digital strategy.4.Based on group direction and admissions inputs, localise marketing campaigns, such that they connect deeply with the target audience. 5.Create local content, written and visual, to celebrate the School achievements and keep the website updated and SEO optimized 6.Brand custodian and owner of marketing services and visual assets, including but not limited to advertising, collaterals, publications, ****s and brochures. 7.Oversee all design, photography and videography for the school, maintaining visual archive.8.Tracking marketing campaign effectiveness to ensure marketing decisions are based on evidence and measurable results.Community Experience1.Working closely with the academic heads, oversee parent communication within the school ensuring concise and effective messaging managed through internal channels, such as the parent portal and WeCom groups, to ensure parents are well equipped to support their children2.Oversee community events, such as Founder’s Day, building a sense of belonging within the school, working with local partners as appropriate3.Highly developed intercultural understanding to ensure parents can understand the School’s educational philosophy4.Main point of contact for the parent associated, the Friends of Dulwich, and Assistant Heads of Year and parent rep groups5.Establish an alumni database, with regular meet ups and an alumni newsletterOther:1.Work unsociable hours as required, including evening and weekends, as standard for a role of this kind.2.Work with and support the School Leadership Team to maintain the high standards and reputation of the School.3.Contribute to upholding EiM and the School’s corporate identity in all publications, internal literature, letters, etc.4.Any other responsibility, which may be reasonably delegated by the Head of School.Safeguarding Ensure that safeguarding, health and safety, and all other College policies are known, understood and ****ded into practice.This job de****ion is designed to outline primary responsibilities but not limit the employee nor the School to only the work identified. SIP Dulwich College United School, also known as Dulwich International High School Suzhou (DHSZ) is a selective, English-medium, co-educational four-year high school. The majority of our current 650 students are PRC nationals who will pursue their university studies at excellent universities and colleges outside China.
We are one of a family of schools owned and operated by Dulwich College International (DCI), based in Shanghai. DCI was founded in 2003, with full approval and authority from Dulwich College London and currently owns 11 schools in China, Seoul, Singapore and Vietnam.
We are an expanding school, currently in our sixth year of operation. We opened in September 2012 in temporary premises within the beautiful grounds of the prestigious Suzhou High School, in the heart of the old town of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. In August 2015, we moved to our new purpose-built campus which is located in the developing SIP district of Suzhou.
